IE9 has been downloaded 25 million times during beta testing.
Privacy and speed are being highlighted as two of the features that set IE9 apart.
i use Chrome and will not change IE had its chance. what browser do you use? and will you give IE9 a go?

ACS:Law told file-sharing case must continue by court

A controversial law firm that sent letters to alleged illegal file sharers has been told it cannot drop its cases to "avoid public scrutiny".
ACS:Law contacted thousands of people accusing them of illegally downloading movies and songs and demanding payments of £500 to avoid court action.
Cases against 26 of them proceeded, before the company attempted to pull out of prosecution at the last minute.
Now a judge had criticised the firm for its methods.
"I cannot imagine a system better designed to create disincentives to test the issues in court," said Judge Colin Birss at the Patents County Court in London.
The case stems from a letter-writing campaign by ACS:Law and its partner company MediaCAT, which sent an undisclosed number of notices to alleged file sharers demanding they pay a fine or face the prospect of costly legal action.
Some of those contacted paid up, but it later emerged that the two companies had been taking 65% of the fines collected, with the minority of the money being passed back to the copyright holders in question, most of whom remain anonymous.
Those tactics - known as "speculative invoicing" - had come in for heavy criticism from those who claimed that the action was unfair.
Consumer group Which? said it had found several instances where plainly innocent people had received the demands.

what are your views on file sharing and the way the police and courts handle it?

Dell announces 10in Windows 7 tablet

Dell will launch a 10-inch Windows 7-based tablet for business users later this year, aimed primarily at "vertical" markets such as health care, education and the financial sector, the company has announced.
Dell is hedging its bets, however. It will also offer 10-inch tablets based on Google's Android OS, said Steve Lalla, head ofDell's business client division.
He spoke at an event in San Francisco where Dell launched a major refresh of all its PC, laptop and workstation products. He called it "the largest commercial client refresh in the history of Dell".
The new products included the Latitude XT3, an update to Dell's existing XT2 convertible tablet. It's not a true tablet like theiPad, but rather a laptop with a touchscreen that swivels around and folds over the keyboard. The new model has a larger, 13-inch screen and a newer Intel processor.
The Windows 7 tablet coming later this year will be a true tablet, though Dell has some work to do before it's ready for market. The device Lalla held aloft on Tuesday was a mock-up with a fake screen.
"It's a preview, we don't have a working model to show," he said in an interview later. But he added that Dell may release the product "much sooner" than the end of the year.
will this be the much needed competitor of the ipad? let me know what you think in the comments below :)

Cut-Out Policewoman Doubles Accidents

A cut-out picture of a sexy policewoman in the Czech Republic has led to a 100% rise in accidents.
The mini skirted policewoman was part of a scheme to reduce speeding at a junction, but instead of slowing down traffic she raised accident rates by distracting male motorists.
One male motorist who crashed after seeing the cut out said: “They are more distracting than they are helpful. Seriously, a mini-skirt in this kind of weather?"
Czech Transport Ministers are said to now be reviewing the scheme. Doh.

Its a change from speed bumps but not really a brilliant solution.

Hi guys, Music is awesome

I'm into loads of different genres which include rock, metal, rap, dance, dubstep, pretty much everything that is produced with talent so exclude Justin Bieber and the black eyed peas immediately. It doesn't matter if the talent is produced though instalments, through the vocal chords or using software on the computer : basically if it sounds good i like it. below are my 3 favourite songs to listen to at the moment.

hope you enjoy. comment below about your favourite songs and give links if you want. thanks :)

Training: Mountain bike pedalling technique

When you're riding your mountain bike you can’t really honk it in a big gear to get going faster. You need to stick to relatively easy gears so that you're always in a sensible gear to take on any obstacles that could be lurking just round the trail. This way you can keep a good momentum and take less energy out of your legs.

Stopping and starting all the time in a hard gear will soon take its toll. So, try doing the following exercises to make you pedal faster using the same gears.

Smooth not stomping

When you’re next out riding focus on where the power is in the pedal stroke. If you're fairly new to the sport, you're probably stomping hard on the down stroke. Imagine that each pedal stroke is a full circle and try to push and pull the pedal round as if you're keeping the pedal to the outside of the circle. Pedal in circles for two minutes at a time to start and build it up to 10 minutes, by which time you'll be getting far more efficient and be going faster without needing extra power.

hope this helps guys. let me know how you get on

Im new here
